Hot Hairstyle: Turban Headbands!

As a TV presenter – I’m lucky enough to try out completely different hairstyles for the red carpet, or the studio, and events, so I always love the chance to experiment with something fresh and out-of-the-box. I’ll look at the runways, red carpets, Pinterest and Instagram for inspo. Recently, one of my favorite hairstyle trends is making a big comeback, and I couldn’t be happier about it: the turban headband. Do you guys remember when I wore one to the Oscars a couple years ago? This turban in particular was so fun because I used extra fabric from the hem of my gown to create it. The dress was beautiful on its own, but the turban took the whole look to another level and made it so much more unique and memorable. I find that turbans have this same effect for your everyday looks as well, and are easy to throw on whether your hair is up or down. Here’s how to wear them!

Tips For Styling A Turban
1. Bad hair day? Try a turban! They perfectly hide the greasiest part of your hair (which tends to be around the face), so just lightly brush through any tangles, texturize your hair with some dry shampoo, throw on your turban and go!
2. Always get your hair in order before trying to place your turban. Once it’s on, it’s very hard to adjust your hair, so if you need to brush it or use some product to take care of flyaways, do it beforehand.
3. There are more ways to wear your turban than you might think. Experiment by wearing it over your ears, behind your ears like a traditional headband, over the back of your hair, and under. Each way creates a totally different look, and all are super cool.

Would you wear your hair like this? Tell me in the comments, and shop some of my favorite turban headbands below!
