Glitzy Gold For The Oscars Red Carpet

If you guys have been following along on my Instagram (don’t forget to follow me here!), you might’ve seen some photos of my wedding gown by now. I wore a custom Pronovias gown on my wedding day, with a gorgeous lace and high neck that I was obsessed with. I adore the brand, and everything they create is nearly couture in the craftsmanship and detail. At the Oscars last week, I was so thrilled to be wearing Pronovias again, but one of their cocktail gowns instead!

Oscars week is always insane, and this recent one was no different. I went to my final fitting just days before I was to host the red carpet, and not only that, I took a huge style risk and decided to create a custom turban headband from the extra fabric that was removed from the hem of the dress. There was no turning back after the gown was chopped nearly a foot, transforming it from a floor length gown with a substantial train, to a flood-length cocktail dress fit for the red carpet. It was so much fun customizing such a gorgeous gown for an exciting event like the Oscars.

To compliment the gold tones of the gown and turban I went for rich burgundy accessories, even sporting rubies in my jewelry. Gold and burgundy are an absolutely delicious color combination, and the whole look had me feeling very confident as I hosted for Access Hollywood. What do you guys think of my Oscars red carpet look?
