The One Thing That’s Changed My Mornings

I did a two-day juice cleanse the other day and loved how it made me feel. I had a lot more energy, better concentration and generally felt more bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I’ve continued drinking celery juice and it’s the one thing that’s changed my mornings.

The benefits of celery are actually ridiculous – I had no idea until now just how powerful and potent it was. First, celery is packed with minerals and vitamins including potassium, vitamins C, B6 and K as well as folate (which is another form of vitamin B). It’s hydrating for skin, and brilliant for digestion as it raises acid in the stomach to help break down food for faster digestion. It lowers cholesterol, is a natural anti-inflammatory (lots of people use to help with joint pain and arthritis) and it’s a powerful antioxidant which helps boost immunity. Really – there’s nothing this vegetable can’t do. It’s hard to prove but I do feel that my skin is clearer and less puffy after having this so often. Same with my tummy! Drinking celery juice first thing does wonders for your liver and flushing toxins out; it’s highly alkaline which helps prevent chronic diseases and it lowers blood pressure. I’ve honestly never known one food have so many health benefits. Once you delve into the world of celery on the internet (yes, there is one) you will find there’s a huge amount of literature and research on this humble veggie.

Morning Celery Juice

Take one big bunch of celery and rinse it. Put it through a juicer (this one is fab) and drink it immediately on an empty stomach. IF you don’t have a juicer then blending it will work too- just make sure you strain it before drinking. Either way you want to aim for about 450ml to get the best results.

    I’ll have to try this again bc the benefits are unreal! (I just struggle and have to hold my nose to not taste haha) Do you eat a normal breakfast afterwards?

    Put a bit of lemon in it and it tastes much nicer! I have the celery juice first thing; if I’m still hungry I’ll have a piece of toast with my tea!

    I have been drinking celery juice for a couple of months now, and it really is a game changer! I’ve actually noticed physical changes, but until now I didn’t realise it was because of my morning celery juice 😍
