How To Combat Dark, Dry Under-Eyes

If you guys follow me on Instagram, you might’ve seen a couple weeks ago when I started using Olay’s new Olay Eyes Brightening Eye Cream while on vacation in Florida. It’s a new eye cream with tons of vitamins that is meant to battle under eye dark circles, and I wanted to update you on my progress and what I think of the product so far.

Firstly, let’s chat about the product itself. You guys know I love Olay – I’m always trying every new potion of theirs whenever it comes out, as their products tend to be super effective for my skin. I was really excited to try this new eye cream specifically, as I’ve been needing some major help in that area as of late. I’ve always had a bit of dark circles due to genetics, but now that we have a baby they’re even more pronounced (thanks, Honor!). This cream has a serious lineup of healthy vitamins to nourish and brighten the eye area, including Vitamin C, Niacinamide Vitamin B3, Pro-Vitamin B5, and Vitamin E anti-oxidant complex. Whew, those are some heavy-hitting ingredients! It has all these while being super lightweight, and even has light reflecting particles that instantly give your under eyes a brightened look.

I’ve been using this cream for a few weeks now and I really do feel brighter and more hydrated under my eyes already. It’s been especially dry in LA lately, so my skin drinks it right up and I have no flakiness whatsoever. This is particularly helpful right before makeup application, since dry skin tends to not take foundation or concealer very well. It’s been my secret weapon for faking that “I just got 9 hours of sleep” look as we continue to get Honor to sleep through the night. It’s great for everyday use, but also as an emergency backup during stressful times – like pulling an all-nighter for school or staying up late preparing for an important presentation. You guys can try it out for yourself by grabbing it from your local CVS today – let me know what you think!
