Spring doesn’t last very long in LA. It’s usually not long after the seasons change before it practically feels like Summer, with 80 degree sweltering heat. I love this time of year though, when the mornings are still crisp and the nights are chilly. There’s something so cozy about it, but admittedly – it is a bit of a confusing time fashion-wise. My trick for surviving these in-between-season moments is to rely on easy layers that you can add or remove depending on the time of day. And lately, I’m having a lot fun using layers to experiment with tonal looks.
Tonal looks are created when you wear multiple pieces of similar color shades, but they don’t necessarily have to be exactly the same. The dark berry shade of my sweater and rust color of my dress are within the same family (red), but they’re still very different, making the look much more interesting. I added a warm accent to my look with this tan crossbody, which plays on the color of my dress. What do you think, would you wear this look? Shop below!

You look beautiful.
How do you wear the dress, how do you manage with the bra?
