It’s finally starting to feel like Fall here in LA, and while pregnancy (luckily) hasn’t affected my skin all that much, the changing weather here definitely has. It’s humid and foggy one day, and hot and dry the next – my skin just doesn’t know what to do with itself! I was very excited to partner with Olay, and to take part in their 28 Day Challenge – keeping a close, daily look at any problem areas and improvements, was fascinating to me. I used the Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream and Olay Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream morning and night for 28 Days straight, to see how it transformed my skin. I’m sharing my honest opinion and detailed feedback with you guys today!
Firstly, I noticed how moisturizing both the products were within a few days of using them. My skin can tend to get flakey and red, especially on my forehead and around my mouth – I often notice it when applying foundation, and it drives me nuts because I’ll have to take all my makeup off and start again. Yuck. But this started to subside almost right away, within 2 or 3 days. I love that the cream is so hydrating without being too heavy, or clogging me up. I get regular facials, and my facialist often says that my pores are clogged, particularly on my T-zone. She will spend a good 20 minutes on extractions usually. But when I went for one a few days ago, she commented how little I needed – it wasn’t dry and there were no blackheads to remove. That was the first time she had ever said that – result! The cream has hyaluronic acid in it, which is a heavy-hitter ingredient for exfoliation and anti-aging. The ingredients in this help to slough off dead skin cells and improve elasticity.
I’m also obsessed with this eye cream because not only is it moisturizing but it has a slight tint to it, meaning that it acts almost like a slight color corrector, covering my dark circles and reflecting the light, so the area looks clear and bright. It’s full of peptides and vitamins that nourish the delicate skin around your eyes and instantly de-puff. The fine lines around my eyes feel more filled in, and my dark circles are particularly less noticeable. After applying it, I used a lot less concealer than usual: my skin just felt like it didn’t need it.
Overall my skin feels so much dewier – without being oily – and smoother. It is accepting makeup better, and I haven’t had any dry, flaky areas since I began using it. I’m actually wearing less makeup, because I feel more confident in the texture and glowiness of my skin. If you’re in need of a major skin overhaul, take part in the 28 Day Challenge, and tell me in the comments or on Instagram how it went for you!
