The Easiest Way To Remedy A Bad Hair Day

Having a bad hair day happens to us all especially in the winter when wind, rain (or both) can cause havoc to any kind of hairstyle. It’s so irritating to spend ages blow drying only to have the perfect loose curl ruined by a blustery day. A good beanie hat is a great way to cover up all manner of hair sins but you can’t exactly turn up to a fashion week party or business meeting looking like the burglar from Home Alone (see how I’ve been rocking that particular look here) so lately I’ve been a bit of a hair magpie and collecting all sorts of clips, bands and bows. Popping in one of those is the easiest way to remedy a bad hair day.

Kids shops are a great place to find hair accessories and I often pick up little bits when I’m shopping for Honor; she and I then end up sharing them or matching which is always fun. For daily work meetings and errands a hairband is a great way to smarten up a jeans and knit outfit- the thicker the better and there are some beautiful jewel-coloured pleated bands out there. My go-to for a party or evening out is a chic hair slide in pearl (pearl hair slides have been everywhere recently) or tortoiseshell. Shop my picks below and build up your own collection of slides, ties and grips for the perfect bad hair day fix.
