What To Wear To An Autumn Wedding

When your friends start to get married, every weekend in the Summer will play host to a happy couple, but what I’ve noticed recently is that the wedding invitations coming through my letterbox are for Autumn weddings. September and October are beautiful months to get married in- I may be a little biased given that my own wedding was an October celebration (you can watch the video here) but doing something a little different and having a Fall backdrop can look absolutely stunning. As a guest, all that leaves is the question: what to wear to an Autumn wedding?

A Fall wedding gives you the freedom to play around with styles and colors- if it pours with rain then you don’t want to be in linen and I would leave the mini dresses at home at this time of year. I love an elegant maxi dress in a subtle print (like a small floral or polka dot) and you can absolutely look at a darker color palette than you’d normally go for in the Summer (navy is forever an easy color to accessorize).

Hat-wearing seems to be generation dependent but I love them. My straw boater was a very easy way to have low-maintenance hair and the side angle (get one with an elastic to go behind your ears so it won’t flop around) meant I could say hello to people without having to hold on to it. Sounds silly but when you’re trying to give someone a hug and your hat keeps flying off, it drives you mad! A simple black bow on the hat gave a feminine touch and perfectly complemented my simple black heel (not too high as we were on grass). Add a clutch and you’re all set.

If it’s really freezing, a classic jumpsuit with an embroidered overcoat is such a chic pairing. I love a co-ord so don’t dismiss tailoring as being a good option for the colder weather. Weddings are all about dancing and having fun so plan is advance and be comfortable! Shop my wedding guest outfits below and let me know what you would wear to an Autumn wedding.

Wedding in AUTUMN is great season-in my view!
Why? I love colorful flowers too much. and it is time to more availability in autumn. Wearing dress- I love current trends.

    Anyways, You looks so pretty.

  3. You should wear a party dress or a cocktail dress that makes you feel festive and fun. For a classic fall look, choose a rich jewel tone like fuchsia, sapphire, or emerald. You can also take color inspiration from the changing color of the leaves and go with an autumn orange, mustard yellow, or deep maroon. For a more muted look, you can choose a charcoal or caramel gown. Thanks for guiding on the autumn wedding dress.
