Happy New Year, guys! Can you believe it’s 2019 already? 2018 was one of the best years of my life, as it was the first with our daughter Honor. But as amazing as last year was, I always love a fresh start as January rolls around, and I’m looking forward to new goals, travels, and trends. Believe it or not, some trends that I know will be huge in 2019 are already in your closet! This look captures them all, including vintage style jeans, bum bags, kitten heels, masculine eyewear, and boyfriend knits. Check out some of my favorite pieces, below!
Retro style jeans are destined to remain a huge trend this year, with no end in sight. High waisted mom jeans, stonewash jeans, and straight leg styles all hail from the 70’s and 80’s, and will be essential to your wardrobe in 2019. Shop some of my favorite here!
As they’re called in the UK, but they’re also known as ‘fanny packs’ or ‘belt bags’ in the US. The days of your mum’s 90’s bum bag are no more – today they come in chic and sleek materials like leather, or even chainmail, velvet and beads for a more formal look. I started noticing a lot of these during Fall 2018, and I know they’re going to be huge this year too. And as a mum I must say, having all your essentials on you but your hands free is a life-changer. Check out these cool ones below.
That’s right, once again low and comfortable is in! I do love a tall stiletto, but I’m happy that the trends keep pointing towards lower, more wearable footwear these days. And 2019 will be no different – I love these cute kitten styles.
Your dad wore them in the 80’s, but classic wayfarers are still cool as ever! Trusty RayBans are always a great choice, but so many brands are making unique versions of this style, and other masculine style frames are becoming widespread for women to wear. I’m obsessed with loose-fitting boyfriend style sweaters, and once again they are back for the New Year. I’m loving everything open weave, chunky, and fisherman style knits. The great news is that you can recycle this style every year. Love these ones!
