If you guys follow me on Instagram, you might’ve seen our whirlwind trip to Paris for the Couture shows this week. We were only there for 2 days, and it was jam packed with runway collections, shoots – and yummy food, of course! While we missed Honor (she was safely at home in London being spoiled by my parents), it was so nice to be back on adventure with Mackenzie, just like the old days.
It was warm and humid in Paris, so I lived in easy dresses and flats the majority of the trip. You guys know how much I love French girl style, and to me there’s nothing more French than a dainty floral dress. While Miranda Priestly might not think florals are very ‘groundbreaking’ for Summer – I disagree! I think when they’re styled in a fun way, florals never fail to feel fresh and exciting to me each time the warmer seasons roll around. I seem to always find a new way to wear them. On this particular afternoon Mackenzie and I had a quick break from all the madness to walk around the city a bit and grab an ice cream, so I wore this lightweight poplin floral dress with comfy sneakers for sightseeing. The touches of straw with my hat and bag add even more of a French, summery vibe to the look.
PS. Thank you so much to everyone who recommended places to eat and visit – we ended up trying a few of them and they were fantastic! I’ll be creating a city guide to Paris very soon, to share all the lovely places we’ve discovered so far. Stay tuned, and in the meantime – shop some of my favorite feminine floral dresses for Summer, below!
