You guys are already well aware of my French girl style obsession, and hopefully you were able to catch some of my whirlwind trip to Paris on my Instagram stories. As far as I’m concerned, French style is the ultimate uniform for this season, when the weather is warm and the days are long. There’s something about easy printed dresses, sneakers or flats, straw bags and hats – that really make you feel like you’re on vacation even if you’re at work. Last Summer you saw me rock this frilly polka dot wrap dress with cat eye sunnies – a more girly expression of my Francophile infatuation. This Summer, I’m rocking polka dots again, but in an updated way that is perfect for the city.
While in Paris, I wore this polka dot shirt dress (which would be perfect for work or a wedding by the way), but instead of styling it with girly shoes I went for trusty white sneakers and straw accents. This made the look more easygoing, and perfect for walking around sightseeing all day. It would also be a great look for casual Fridays during the Summer if you work in an office, or even for brunch or walking around the farmer’s market. While searching for more polka dot pieces to fulfill my French style fix, I realized that they don’t have to just be on dresses, or even be black and white for that matter.
