Doing The Impossible: Finding A Chic Diaper Bag

Ok, so the idea of a diaper bag usually seems far from glamorous. But mums and dads out there know that these bags hold all of the important items that are necessary to bring along when traveling out of the house with your baby. They hold everything from formula and food, to toys, a change of clothes, wipes, and of course, diapers. But is it possible to schlep around the essentials, in a bag that can be wiped and washed, while still looking chic? I’m happy to report that it absolutely is! Before Honor arrived, Mackenzie and I searched around for bags that we would both like, that would still look cute to carry around. I have created a list of my top 10 favorite diaper bag options at the moment, for mums and dads alike!

Shop Diaper Bags:

I am obsessed with this faux leather Honest Company diaper bag! It’s sleek and super practical, as it’s not always easy to carry a shoulder bag while pushing a stroller. It even comes in three different colors, and one is bound to match your everyday look! Dads love this one too, because it’s not an overly feminine piece.

This Marc Jacobs diaper bag is gorgeous, unique, and useful. From the outside it looks like your average tote, but it comes complete with plenty of pockets for storage, a thick and durable nylon material, and even a matching changing pad.

This Herschel Supply Co. diaper bag is pretty much made for dad, but it’s classic enough for mums too. The streetwear vibe makes it beyond cool, and it’s a little more sporty than most of the bags I’ve seen. Plus, it comes at a fairly reasonable price for how large and sturdy it is.

Sometimes mum needs to treat herself! While this Burberry bag may be a huge splurge, it’s so classic and can be used as a tote, even when the baby gets older! The cross body strap allows you to carry it in multiple ways.

This pink diaper bag by Rosie Pope can really add a statement to a simple look. It’s spacious, easy to carry, and comes with a cute insulated bottle cooler AND a changing pad! I think, yes!

This rolling bag by Nuna is great for overnight trips or vacations with your little one. It can be carried by the handle or trolleyed behind. Also, it’s compatible with other Nuna products like strollers, baby seats, and car seats. Sometimes it’s just easier when it all fits together.

Skip Hop makes this classic neoprene diaper bag, great for the new mum on the go. It has all the pockets you could ever want, which always helps motivate me to stay organized. I love the added tassel for a trendy twist on a functional piece.

I just can’t seem to stay away from the backpack diaper bag look, and this adorable Fawn bag is no exception! The best part is, the material is super easy to wipe clean at the end of a crazy day.

A printed bag is always a fun addition to any outfit, so why should a diaper bag be any different? I love this floral bag by Kate Spade that would look perfect draped along the handles of an all black stroller.

This Jujube bag is another great one for dad, and is Mckenzie’s go-to these days! Backpacks are perfect for being hands free when you’re a parent on the go. This one is machine washable (amazing!) and comes with a lifetime warranty against defects.

The Daily Edited is a great brand for a non-traditional diaper bag that is just as efficient as it is stylish. This one zips up, has plenty of pockets for storage, and you can add four monogramed initials free of charge when you order it!

I just got this leather holdall by Keriket, which doubles as a chic overnight bag. It stacks perfectly on top of my rolling bag, which makes it ideal for all kinds of travel.

This 100% vegan diaper bag by Matt and Nat is made for the stylish and environmentally conscious mum. It comes complete with a changing pad, a laptop compartment, and two front pockets with magnetic snap closures…so easy!

Last but not least, I had to add this glitzy studded diaper bag by Rebecca Minkoff. A new mummy deserves to feel glamorous, even if she’s just going to coffee, a meeting, or the grocery store. Besides the added sparkle, you can also have your baby’s name monogrammed for a personalized touch.

I hope this helped in narrowing down the search for the perfect way to carry your baby’s necessities. I’m going to have to be careful not to buy one that matches every outfit!
