How To Skim 5 Minutes Off Your Morning Routine

As any new parent will tell you, life with a newborn certainly takes some adjusting to. But honestly, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done! I don’t want her to get any bigger, and I could seriously hang out staring at her all day for the rest of my life. However, at some point reality knocks, and I actually have to get dressed and get out of the house. I’m just starting to get back into the swing of doing some light work, catching up on emails, shooting some new blog content with Mackenzie, and taking an easy coffee meeting or two. Getting ready is always a process for us women, but even if you’re not a new mum, we could all do with shaving a few minutes off our morning routines, don’t you think?

I’ve talked about Olay on the blog before (check out my review here), and their Olay Regenerist Whip has become one of my go-to products over the last few weeks. It’s a multitasking moisturizer that is lightweight yet super hydrating, and the texture almost feels like whip cream (yum!). My favorite part about it is that it soaks into your skin immediately, so that you don’t have to wait for it to dry before applying your makeup. Plus, it has a special formula that acts almost like a no-primer primer, making my makeup routine shorter, absorbing my skin’s oils throughout the day, which helps to avoid that 3pm shine. I typically use a primer before putting on my foundation, so being able to skip it is a huge help, but my makeup still holds well and my skin doesn’t get oily after hours of wear. With my limited time these days, I’ve been living on this stuff.

When I get ready in the morning, I’ll cleanse, tone, and layer Olay Whips on – before moving immediately into a lightweight foundation or tint, which is my favorite these days. The less layers and steps, the better. Want to try it? Grab one for yourself at Walgreens here, and tell me what you think!

I love when a product can be used for more than one thing, it makes getting ready so much more efficient and makes me love the product even more!

Enjoy your husband and your child like you are. It is no joke when older people tell you to do that. It’s the best thing to do in life.

You look smashing! I need to get that Whip!

Absolutely we don’t have much time in mornings but these simple steps are quite necessary for our skin as it hydrates and prepping our skin for entire day.
I’ve never tried this , definitely give it a try ASAP.

Is this Olay Regenerist whip only for make up users? I am 54 years old and I am starting to see wrinkles around my eyes. Not a make up user but for a good face moisturizer.

Definitely a must moisturizer! Im on my 2nd olay whip and i really like it. The texture is so light, non-greasy and feels so natural in my face. I love it!!!

  • How fascinating is this: the part of our brain controlling memory and emotion, is directly linked to the nerve at the back of our nose. Meaning, certain smells have the ability to completely change our mood and outlook on life. Here's a deeper dive into how you can instantly improve your mood with the strike of a match or a spritz of perfume - link in bio ⠀⠀

  • I wish there was a magic wand to 1) not feel so tired, and 2) get rid of the dark circles under my eyes! Agreed? A double latte helps with the former, and omg - @no7usa Dark Spot Correcting Booster Serum has helped enormously with the latter. Remember I talked about this brand a few months back? I've used it since I was a teen in the UK and I'm thrilled I can easily buy it in the US. Grab yours @Walgreens and tell me how you like it! #No7Laboratories #No7USA #ad

  • Did you know that in the US, a woman still makes only 80% of what her male counterpart does? In the UK last year, men made nearly 12% more than women for the same jobs. The wage gap is real, and still an issue. So, what can YOU do right now at work to be taken more seriously, and help close this gap? • Inflammation is a buzzword lately. It’s been linked to more serious illnesses than I can count, weight-gain, bad skin - and now studies have linked it to depression. People are now eating anti-inflammatory foods in LA like locusts! So much so, there’s currently a celery ‘shortage’, and the price of celery juice (another massive trend) has risen by 200%. Gisele and Tom Brady famously follow an anti-inflammatory diet, designed by their chef. So what IS inflammation, and how do we reverse it? Click the link in my bio for some⠀⠀

  • I always remember reading an interview with a movie star, who called her stretch marks, her ‘tiger stripes’. I’ve had mine since I was 18, and always felt very self-conscious. Reading that interview flicked a switch for me- and totally changed my perspective. Since then, I’ve worked with women of ALL shapes, ages and backgrounds, to help them feel more confident in their skin: sometimes when I’m filming a makeover show, sometimes if I’m writing an article, or working with a charity like Step Up. Whether that’s how to walk into an interview, how to prep a resumé, what to wear, or how to look after your body- in particular- your skin. A few years ago, I wrote a book (Front Roe), about it all. Then I had a baby, and my relationship with my body changed again, for the better. I was in absolute AWE at what the female body can achieve. Listen, every single one of us has body hang ups, cellulite, scars, shapes we don’t always love. But what it took me time to slowly realize, is that our bodies are freaking hard-working, clever, miraculous machines. They are! So I’ve written about some of the tips I’ve used in the past to feel more body confident (and ps, the science behind it all, is fascinating). Click the link in my bio to read. And please as always, share some body confidence journeys of your own below... @Olay #OlaySun #FaceAnything #ad
