I love Fashion Week, and although it is one of my favorite times of year, it’s also in some ways one of the most stressful. I’m certainly not complaining as I feel so blessed to be able to attend, but in all honesty running at 150% all week long definitely takes its toll on you, especially now that I’m carrying around baby Hunkin on top of everything else. I usually have Fashion Week packing down to a science, so it came as a huge surprise when in the middle of the week I had run out of clothes. Nearly overnight, I couldn’t fit into anything else I had brought with me! It still amazes me how quickly my body is changing, and it’s hard to believe that the clothes I could wear last week no longer fit.
In a panic, I sped around Zara to find some quick wardrobe backups for a party I had to attend that evening. I landed on this beautiful faux suede coat and copper satin tunic, and ended up loving my look! I really love that these are non-maternity pieces that I will be able to wear beyond my pregnancy because I really don’t want to end up with tons of clothes I can only wear for a couple months. They were a bit of a whim purchase but I’ve totally fallen for these gorgeous warm hues – the copper in particular really is perfect for Fall and is a great metallic color option besides gold or silver. My key for styling a bold copper piece is to mix it with neutrals and fun accessories. I can’t ever get enough of camel coats for Fall and winter, and these two colors looked gorgeous together. I styled this high neck tunic by layering a chunky choker on top of it for something unexpected, with statement earrings to match. What do you guys think of my look?
