I’ve talked a great deal on my blog about how important it is to find your own signature scent. It’s the invisible final touch that gives people a sense of your style and personality, and even reflects the seasons. Every year around this time I switch out my darker, moodier scents for something lighter and refreshing. This summer I’ve fallen in love with L’Occitane‘s brand new Terre De Lumière scent, which smells like watching the sun set over lavender fields in Provence.
It’s feminine, zesty, and warm all at once. It was just perfect for spritzing on sunkissed skin during my most recent trip to Hawaii, where it seemed just fitting for watching the sun set over the ocean each day. I even brought along their Gentle Shower Gel and Beautifying Body Lotion, which leaves the skin soft, moisturized, and oh-so delicately scented.
When looking for a signature summer scent, I like fragrances that have notes of citrus and florals, but are still musky and not too overpowering. I think having a touch of masculine notes make a scent more timeless and classic, as opposed to fragrances which smell almost like candy. When you land on a classic fragrance like this, it can become your go-to scent that will last you for years or even decades – totally worth the investment. Have you guys tried it? Let me know what you think in the comments!
