Bottoms Up! Champagne Bar For NYE

The countdown to New Years Eve has begun, so what better time than now to bust out the bubbly? I had such an amazing 2016, so I’m definitely in the mood for celebration. My friend Darcy Miller wrote the ultimate (and cutest) book about how to celebrate almost everything in life, and I just fell in love with her idea for a champagne bar.

I wanted to do one this New Years Eve with my family, and was so happy to find out how easy setting this up was. You just need a few pretty bowls, and whichever accoutrements you like – in Darcy’s book she recommends everything from sugar heart candies to edible flowers and brown sugar. So perfect for a little night with your family or girlfriends. For my setup, I went with simple pomegranate seeds, lemon rinds and sugar cubes, topped off with pretty rose petals for decoration.

If you don’t have them already, I highly recommend investing in some pretty vintage crystal champagne glasses. I inherited these from my granny, but you can often find them at estate sales or antique shops. I love the old school shape – they definitely make you feel a bit more stylish while you sip. The best part? You can pick up all these ingredients at your local grocery store, so if you need a last minute entertaining idea this is a great place to start. If you try it, let me know how it went in the comments below. Happy New Year!
