I’ve always been a huge fan of the longline look, whether it be a blazer or in this case, a cool midi skirt paired with a long tank. This look can be a bit tricky to style and a bit top-heavy if done incorrectly, so I have a few tips on how to style two longline pieces together in a fresh and stylish way.
While I would normally pair this A-line midi skirt with a fitted top (like I did here), I decided to style it with a tank that was a little looser and longer than I would normally think to go for, just to mix things up a bit. I love the longline look because it can add some subtle drama to your look, while adding the appearance of extra inches to your height. The trick when styling a look like this is to not wear a top that goes past your hips – you’ll want the hemline of your top to hit about hip level to keep things flattering (if the top does go past your hips, go for a more fitted midi skirt, rather than A-line, to keep things closer to the body). It’s also super important to rock this kind of look with heels, to elongate your legs and keep you looking slim. Easy peezy!
