I believe that every woman needs a girl squad in their life. Even after marriage, children, and busy careers, having a girl’s night out is so important to schedule with your friends from time to time. For me, some of my best friends live in London, so our nights out happen just three or four times a year – but even so I cherish those awesome moments with my chicas more than ever. And P.S. it’s a fact – women who carve out girl time are happier in their love lives and in their careers! I love my LA ladies too – whether we’re trying out a new restaurant together or just grabbing a quick drink (preferably on a rooftop somewhere this summer!), it doesn’t matter as long as we’re together, most likely cracking up and acting fourteen again.
I think it’s such fun to get ready together for a night out, and to get in the mood for a fun summer outing last Friday, we sipped on Palm Breeze alcohol spritzers while doing our hair and makeup. I love setting out the Pineapple Mandarin Orange flavor when I have my girls over – it smells like vacation, I swear! It comes in three tropical flavors (Ruby Red Citrus, Pineapple Mandarin Orange and Strawberry Pineapple), so it’s perfect for summertime adventures with your best ladies.
For my girls’ night out makeup look, I always like to keep it a little simple with smudgy eyeliner and smoky eyes, warm bronzed skin and soft, full waves in my hair. To get this look, you’ll want to start with a more dewey foundation for a glowing summer look, and use lots of highlighter on the cheeks and brow bones to set it in. Follow with rose gold shadow and a thick, coppery eyeliner instead of black. Draw it on heavy, and smudge it with a blending brush. Finish off with a volumizing mascara, and give it two or three coats for extra body. This makeup look goes perfectly with any outfit, and transitions easily from day to night – if you’re heading from happy hour to dinner!
