My Secret to Clear Skin and Natural Make-up

So far, 2016 is off to a crazy start! If you guys follow my adventures on Instagram, you’ve seen my hectic traveling schedule – from the Superbowl to NYC and Paris for fashion week, I’m on a flight every week and jumping straight into work as soon as I land in each city. Dry plane cabins and wearing heavy makeup for filming take their toll on my skin. These moments are #WorthTheWrinkle to me (a new age-positive campaign from Clarins) because they add adventure and excitement to my life. But recently I noticed dry patches on my chin and forehead, and my lipstick wasn’t staying put on my lips as long as usual. I wanted that healthy glow and natural look back—so I decided to try the new anti-aging Multi-Active creams from Clarins.

We all know that stress does a number not only on your health, but it also takes a visible toll on your skin, so wherever possible I like to simplify my beauty routines to take a variable out of getting ready. When taking care of your skin, it’s important to follow these age-old steps: cleanse, tone, apply serum, and then moisturize. I fell in love with this creamy Foaming Cleanser from Clarins when I stayed over at a friend’s house and borrowed it in her shower. I had to get some! It takes every last scrap of my makeup off, without stripping my skin of moisture. Next, I put toner on a cotton ball and sweep over my face in a downward motion (this helps with blood circulation), to refresh my skin. Then comes the serum, which is absorbed immediately, like a drink of water. It’s important to start using a serum as soon as possible – even in your 20’s before you see any fine lines! Finally, depending on the time of day, I finish off with the Multi-Active day cream or night cream to lock in moisture and let the anti-aging properties get to work.

Another tip: don’t forget about your lips! It’s just as important to keep them exfoliated and hydrated, as it is for the skin on your face. I’d never seen lip oil before this one, but I’ve been using this Lip Comfort Oil for about two weeks now (I take it on the plane), and lipstick never dries up on me anymore. And it keeps me smiling through all of my #WorthTheWrinkle moments. What are your #WorthTheWrinkle moments? Tell me in the comments, and click to shop all the products I used below.

While your skin looks great Louise, this is all so outdated. Oils are all you need for great skin care. They are simple: cleanser and moisturiser in one and cheap: check out your supermarket.

Since hitting the big 3-0, my skin has decided to start giving me the problems of a hormone-raging teen! Minus the plumpness!

I love Clarins products. I’ve been using an orgnic lip balm before I go to bed at night too and it’s making a huge difference!
