Maybe you’ve got your eye on someone in particular, or maybe you’ll meet someone new unexpectedly – either way, be prepared to wow them with my flirting tips for holiday parties (hint: it involves making cocktails!).
In my opinion, it’s sexy and confident to make yourself into the bartender for a while. There’s nothing worse than feeling awkward and forgetting what to say when you see your cutie. By making a delicious cocktail, you’ve got something to do with your hands, you’ve got the ultimate conversation starter, and you’ve got the perfect excuse to hang out with him or her, by taking over a drink!
My favorite cocktail recipe this New Year’s Eve is my Mezcal Kicker (you can also find the recipe in my book!). I’m a tequila lover, and its naughty older cousin mezcal makes for the perfect grown up cocktail with some herbs and lime – so refreshing without being too sweet or tart.

Makes 2:
4 ounces of silver mezcal
Juice of 4 limes
Ice filled shaker
2 tablespoons agave nectar
1 dried red chili
Lime wedge, to garnish
2 sprigs of thyme, to garnish
Shake everything but the lime wedge and thyme together vigorously in a cocktail shaker. Pour over ice and garnish with lime wedge and thyme. Enjoy!

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. But imagine if you added some great photos or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! First of all I would like to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Thanks!

When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get several emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? Bless you!
