Created in partnership with Magali Pascal.
When I was a child I spent most of my time in the dressing up box at my parents house and whenever I could, I wore long dresses and flowing skirts. It’s perhaps no surprise that I went into the fashion industry, first as a journalist and TV presenter and now as an influencer; it’s just something that has always been a passion. When I’m away on a work trip or hopping between meetings and dinners I need something that will work for both and just needs a shoe change or switch up of makeup to work. So during the week I’m nearly always in dresses and Magali Pascal make the most beautiful ones that are perfect feminine dresses for stylish days.
Soft and natural fabrics including silk, linen and organic cotton are matched with simple and elegant prints so that each piece is unique. You also get that one-of-a-kind feeling from the quality; the entire Magali Pascal collection is handmade in Bali where the company have their headquarters. The bohemian vibe is evident in much of their collection but they also have some gorgeous dresses with tie waists or structured shoulders. For daytime ease I like to pair comfortable dresses (and these really are) with boots or trainers and an overcoat, then easily take it from desk to dinner by swapping the boots for heels and adding a blazer and a slick of lipstick.
This Maiko dress was such a great addition to my Florence trip as it’s a classic black dress with just the right amount of twist. A midi length is always one I go for and the tiered wrap style is so wearable during a busy day. The pleated ruffle sleeves keep it feminine but it’s not so frilly that it becomes impossible to accessorize. I’ll be wearing this with over-the-knee boots until the Summer when I’ll probably go for the off-white version with sandals or flip flops.
The great thing about Magali Pascal is that you can get dresses for every kind of event, all in one place. I’ve shortlisted my favourites for each occasion below so just click to see what I’ll be wearing throughout the year.
