Why Bolder Is Better: My Current Favorite Day Dress

A floral midi dress is the perfect item for the beach days, after-work drinks and barbecues that fill your summer calendar. Whatever the occasion, the toughest part can be choosing which one to wear: elegant printed maxi or colorful cotton mini? For the daytime add a mini bag, some shades and chunky sandals. When the sun goes down, add some statement earrings and a clutch to see you through to the early hours.

My big tip with patterned dresses is that you mustn’t be afraid to go bold. Whether it’s a bright color, a daring pattern or an unusual shape, I’m all for experimenting with my fashion choices. Try stepping outside of your comfort zone to make a statement with your look; pulling off a bold look is all about having the courage to do so – after all, confidence is the best accessory.

Scroll through my list of bold and bright dresses that will keep you looking chic all Summer.

Some of the little changes I made since moving from LA, for winter wellbeing: porridge for brekkie, homemade ginger tea, oversized cosy jumpers and @LumityLife supplements. The morning capsules stop me reaching for a second (or third!) coffee, and the night time vitamins have helped me wind down & sleep better.
