Christmas DIY: Chic Playing Card Ornaments

The holiday season is a magical time of year and I love creating new memories with my girls and having fun with them baking or doing crafts.

This year’s Christmas family DIY has been creating fun, aged play card tree ornaments. Read below how we made them:

You will need:

  • A deck of cards
  • A pot of boiling water with 4/5 tea bags
  • A drying rack
  • Coffee grains
  • Your favourite ribbon

Once your boiling water pot with the tea bags has cooled down, add your cards and let them soak for 3-4 hours.

Now it’s time to spread them on a drying rack and, using a brush spread coffee grains all over the top.

Leave them for the night and then, brush off the coffee grains.

Next, with a hole punch, make a hole in the centre and thread through your favourite ribbon and voilà, your vintage-looking cards are ready to be hung on your Christmas tree.
