Pumpkins Galore For My Thanksgiving Table

This year’s Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I am planning our tablescape for a dinner with family and friends, while Mackenzie takes care of the menu. Thanksgiving is my favourite American tradition I brought over to England. I’d never celebrated it before moving to LA, but some of my happiest memories of living there took place on Thanksgiving so I always looking forward to celebrating it every year.

With my tablescape I wanted to capture the essence of Fall in all its glory – the cool, crisp air, the enticing aroma of pumpkin spice, and the vibrant colours of fallen leaves.

So burnt oranges and green and brown hues were my starting point. I laid a hand-embroidered white tablecloth with green details and layered rattan placemats on top for every guest. Next up, plates and I am loving this splatter design in Tan. I love a layered table and I like to place pretty napkins over the plates and adorn them with pretty napkin rings – I picked rattan napkin rings for their natural feel and colours. Time to add some decorations now! I love a centrepiece so I went for a beautiful bunch of brown and orange dried flowers. No Thanksgiving table is complete without pumpkins in my opinion and I have quite a collection of decorative pumpkins around the house – I love placing them at the entrance, on the mantlepiece and on the table of course! They add so much colour and texture.

And voila, here’s my warm and happy Thanksgiving table.

Wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving!) holiday.
