The Perfect Quarantini For Sunny Days

Is anyone else finding that their wine intake has dramatically increased since we went into lockdown?! I took a week off the red wine but as a treat on a particularly bright day, Mackenzie and I made these delicious orange cocktails. They are SO easy to make and it doesn’t feel too naughty as it’s mostly orange juice. On a warm evening, this makes a great sundowner and it’s the ideal way to use up some leftover oranges that you may have. Just be careful how many you have as the orange juice hides the taste of alcohol! See below a perfect quarantini recipe for sunny days.

Ingredients (makes one cocktail):

-1 freshly squeezed orange

-2 ounces vodka

-1 ounce grand marnier (or other orange liqueur)

-3-4 ounces fizzy lemon/lime drink (Sprite or 7Up is perfect)

-orange wedge

-fresh mint

Add the vodka, grand marnier and orange juice to a glass with crushed ice and stir. Top with the lemonade, an orange wedge and mint.

Is there a recipe for the perfect quarantini for sunny days that we may have missed? Let me know in the comments!
