Spring Skirts With Winter Boots

I love making my favourite pieces in my wardrobe work trans-seasonally and my current workday look involves spring skirts with winter boots. I’m of the opinion that you can’t really have too many of either so I’m collating a round up of fab spring skirts in bright colours and pretty prints (like this gorgeous paisley one I wore recently) that you can easily wear now with boots. Even as we move into warmer months, you can never rely too much on the temperamental British weather and so buying boots now means you’ll still get some wear out of them before Winter rolls back around.

I often talk about how important it is for me to wear colour and this styling trick is the perfect way to do that. I’ve got a collection of jewel coloured skirts in all sorts of materials so it’s just finding the boot that goes with it. Keeping the rest of the outfit simple doesn’t mean you have to dull down on the colour there either. I picked out the red in this floral skirt and paired in with a vibrant red cardigan so I’m warm but colour co-ordinated. A t-shirt and a classic blazer or a cosy jumper both go so well over a skirt and boot combo and this look is just as good for a Monday meeting as it is for a pub lunch. Shop the skirts below and match them up with my pick of the best boots out there.

Tip: Calf length or midi skirts look best with this look, and then the boots can be as long as you like!
