The Best Holiday Party Makeup

Created in partnership with Walmart Beauty.

It’s holiday party season! I can’t wait and am so looking forward to festive celebrations with friends and family I haven’t seen for ages. Deciding a party outfit is one thing but the bit I enjoy the most is getting ready (especially with Honor chatting away in the background) and putting on the best holiday party makeup. Walmart Beauty have hundreds of top makeup, hair and skincare brands; everything I used to create this look is from their #HereforEveryBeauty campaign and it could not have been easier.

Black Eyeliner Pen by e.l.f

I went for a bit of a 60’s Audrey Hepburn vibe with my eyes and did some thick eyeliner flicks. Having a pen instead of a pot is much easier for doing feline flicks and this e.l.f pen is like using a felt tip!

Terracotta Goldenland Illuminating Powder by Guerlain

This powder is great for highlighting and illuminating, and really glows under lights. I dusted a little on my cheekbones and brow bones  as well as on the bridge of my nose. It sits perfectly over light foundation for a subtle shimmer.

Stardust Glitter Eyeliner in Shimmering Gold by e.l.f

You can’t have Christmas party makeup without glitter and I LOVE this shimmery gold one from e.l.f. Either line your lids with it or do what I did and use it like an eyeshadow. It just gives your eyes a bit of an extra sparkle and the deep bronze colour suits a multitude of skin tones.

Great Lash Washable Mascara in Very Black by Maybelline

This mascara is iconic and was the very first piece of makeup I ever bought. Why change the habit of a lifetime?! I always wear waterproof mascara on my lower lashes so it doesn’t run.

Pink For Me Sensational Made For All Lipstick by Maybelline

As much as I love a bold lip, I decided to go for a subtler colour this time and let my eye makeup do the talking. This Maybelline lipstick is simple, easily glides on and lasts for ages. Pop it in your clutch for on-the-go touch ups.

The Finishing Touch

For this look, I washed my hair with a protein conditioning treatment and rough-dried it using the cool setting on my hair dryer. After spraying in some heat protection spray I gently curled my hair using a curling iron. A touch of hairspray and I’m ready to go. A pearl hair slide or embellished clip is the ideal finishing touch to this wavy party hair.

Party makeup look is very stunning. Simple but looks gorgeous. Terracotta Goldenland Illuminating Powder by Guerlain done its job perfectly. I also like Maybelline mascara and lipstick shade.
