Natural Fruit & Veggie Wash DIY

You guys know how much I love my snacks to be as healthy as possible and nothing helps beat a winter cold more than fresh fruit and veg. Vegetables are SO important: full of iron and vitamins, we really should be eating 8 portions a day. I love to fill my fridge all year round with all the fruits and veggies it can possibly fit but after a couple days it seems like they wither away, so I went on a mission to extend the life of my produce without introducing any harmful chemicals. Enter this amazing (and incredibly easy) natural fruit and veggie wash. A simple DIY that gives all my fruits and vegetables a new lease of life! More healthy snacks for me, and no more wasted food.

Ingredients:

 1 tablespoon organic lemon juice
 10 drops grapefruit seed extract
 2 tablespoons baking soda
 1 cup filtered water
 ¾ cup white vinegar

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients in a pitcher and pour into a spray bottle.

2. Spray onto produce (except mushrooms) and let sit for 5-10 minutes. Rinse well.

3. Enjoy your fruits and veggies for longer!
