It’s trench coat season! The weather is just slightly starting to warm up, and here in LA you can tell that Spring is on the horizon. It’s still quite chilly at times, but the sun is peeking out for longer and longer periods, the light is changing, and the days are getting longer. Trench coats are the perfect outer layer for this time of year. They’re lightweight but still provide just enough warmth, and are easily layered with sweaters on colder days. I love this classic khaki style, but this year I also want to invest in a bolder color like red and an unexpected color like blush. Honestly, you can’t really go wrong with any of these, and they’ll be in your closet for years. Trench coats are one of those rare staples that always seem to withstand the endless comings and goings of trends. They’re such a classic wardrobe piece that I find myself writing about them on the blog at least once a year.
