The Jeans That Make Your Butt Look Amazing

In my job, I get the chance to wear some pretty exciting things. It’s one of the coolest parts of what I do – what little girl didn’t dream of playing dress up for work every day? But as much as I love getting dolled up and playing with different trends, on my off days you will most likely find me in a pair of trusty jeans – styled with a comfy tank and flat sandals or sneakers. I will never, ever tire of jeans, and I always find myself gravitating towards the same pairs over and over – the ones I know will be comfy and flattering no matter what.

I’ve had a lot of questions about how to style jeans for different body types, and you might be surprised to find out that you can find the perfect pair that will make your butt look amazing – no matter your shape. There are so many more options today for women of all sizes – from petite to tall, thin to curvy, and everything in between. I’m so glad that more brands are being inclusive and embracing all women – everyone deserves to have a pair of jeans that makes them feel sexy and confident!

So, which jeans looks good on everyone? Well, I stand convinced that the most universally flattering style is the high waisted cut – hands down. If you’re not totally confident about your body or have a tricky shape (the apple shape can sometimes be difficult to style), you might think that I’m crazy for saying so. But honestly, it’s all about finding the right brand for your body. Once you do, the high waisted style elongates your torso and legs, pinches in your waist at the perfect place, and lifts your butt. Yes please! Today, I’m curating the perfect high waisted jeans for different body types to make your quest for the perfect pair a little bit easier.

Hourglass
If you’re lucky enough to have an hourglass shape, most high waisted styles will look amazing on you. However, you may deal with certain jeans being tight in the hips and thighs, while gapping in the waist. Rigid styles that don’t offer a lot of movement may be uncomfortable and ill fitting, which is why high waisted jeans with some stretch in them will be your best friend. And whether you’re curvy, tall or petite (or a combination), brands like Madewell, Gap, Topshop and ASOS all offer cute stretchy styles. Another great option? Mom jeans! They’re less fitted like a boyfriend jeans, but have a flatteringly high waist.

Apple & Pear
If you have an apple or pear shape, a high waisted style that lies straight or flares out a bit at the hem is for you. It balances out your proportions by giving you some shape at the bottom, and elongates your legs. You’ll also want a pair with a slight stretch in them so that you can buy a size that is more fitted on your bum. If you do want a skinny option, brands like Good American were made for you! They are designed to hug your curves in all the right places. If you don’t feel confident enough to wear a bodysuit or tight style with a high waist jean, try a loose half-tuck tee instead.

Straight
If you have a straight shape, you luckily have many options that look good on your body type. High rise skinnies are always flattering on you, but if you want to give yourself a bit more shape, you will also look great in a flare, bootcut, or boyfriend jean. The trick is finding a brand that fits you in the waist and isn’t too loose on your butt. Luckily for you, rigid denim is super flattering on straight shapes. They will pinch you in at the waist and stay fitted on your booty, giving the illusion of a more hourglass figure.

Really? Like you need help in that “department” …….. I do like the jeans and the attitude in which you are wearing them though.
