Design Dilemma: How To Hide A TV

On Monday, I revealed what secret design project Em Henderson and I were working on a few months ago. What did you guys think of the transformation we did on this 150 year old barn? It was so much fun working with Em on transforming the space, and to see our ideas come to life.

My biggest takeaway from our design challenge was the answer to a dilemma that always plagues interior junkies – how to disguise a TV so as to not take away from the design of your space. We worked with Samsung to use their new TV, The Frame – on solving this very issue. The Frame doubles as both a super high-definition TV and also a gorgeous piece of art when it’s not being used. Better yet, the Invisible Cord which hooks up the TV is thin and clear – making it barely visible. Tangled black cords are always SUCH a pet peeve of mine with electronics, and this solves the problem of hiding them. And the coolest part? The Frame comes with Customizable Frames that are interchangeable in Walnut, Beige Wood and White, so that you can choose the best color for your design scheme.

My new favorite way to incorporate a TV into the design of your living space is to make it the focal point of a chic gallery wall, which we did here. Make sure to group it with a mix of modern and vintage art pieces, to give your gallery wall different colors and textures.
