While Summer is still here, Fall is slowly creeping up on us (so scary how time flies!), so it’s time to start thinking about how to transition your wardrobe from one season to the next. Today I’m showing you guys my fail-safe looks for exactly that – transitioning into Fall.
Sometimes, keeping it simple is the chicest option. In my eyes, nothing beats shiny loafers, a crisp white shirt and blue jeans β paired with a stand-out bag. Jeans and a white shirt really is a no-brainer combo – perfect for work, but not too formal for casual coffee dates, and it’s also super comfy so you don’t need to be worried about being able to run around the city all day.
This outfit is also perfect for a cooler day at the end of Summer, when the nights start to turn crisp and the sun starts to set a bit earlier. You could easily get away with wearing different versions of this combination every day of the week – just changing up your jeans, shirt, or accessorizing with different details like a different style hat or shoes. But my favorite way to change it up? Playing with different statement handbags. Brahmin has begun releasing some gems their Fall collection, and as you guys may know from my previous posts, I’m obsessed with their beautifully crafted leather bags. This crossbody style is a particular favorite of mine – it’s classically chic but still catches the eye. It’s also such a great color as it goes with pretty much with everything I own.
My second killer combo is taking an all-white outfit and making it pop with coordinating splashes of color. Can we please talk about how beautiful this croc embossed blue bag is? Adding a blazer over an otherwise Summery outfit is perfect for moving into Fall. In my opinion, the “no white after Labor Day” rule is long outdated, and I’m a Brit anyway so I’m doing away with this rule! Go ahead and rock those white jeans and tops, even after September 4th, even well into the holidays. They call them winter whites for a reason! As it gets chillier, it would be easy to update this look by swapping out the heels for ankle booties, and trying a cropped sweater in place of the crop top. A blazer, jeans, and colorful statement bag are perfect year-round.
