Over the weekend I had the honor of walking the red carpet and attending the BAFTAs, wearing the most incredible emerald jewelry from Fabergé, gorgeous purple Naeem Khan gown and gold sandals from Jimmy Choo. Honestly, this look came together even better than I could have imagined, I think it was my most favorite red carpet look ever. I was so excited to walk down the freezing red carpet (it was snowing!) in this stunning hand-embroidered purple gown. Losing all feeling in my toes was completely worth it to have such a Cinderella moment!
So let’s talk about the jewelry. I have been lucky enough to work with Gemfields, who mine responsibly sourced rubies and emeralds all over the world. Having a conscience about what I wear is very important, so knowing where these stones come from, and how they end up on my ears and fingers, means a lot. I went through so many different designs – from studs to dangly emerald earrings, chunky and dainty rings, before finally settling on this set by fine jewelry designer. Purple and green are complimentary colors on the color wheel, so they’re very visually appealing to the eye when next to each other. I kept my hair scraped back with a side part, I wanted a clean, dramatic look for my makeup too: I opted for a flesh-tone lip (I lined them with Lancôme’s Beige Rose line for extra plumpness) and a smoky eye with touches of grey and purple.
