Fall is officially here, and even though I’m happy to be spending some time in the UK for a couple weeks leading up to my wedding, it will be a nice change to get back to the temperate fall weather back in LA after my honeymoon. It’s such a pretty time of year, when the blazing hot summer has gone but it’s still warm enough to wear just a few light layers, and even open-toed shoes! It also feels just right to wear a lighter palette, with a touch of fall tones splashed in. I love the these loose-fitting burgundy leather pants, mixed with a caramel top and summery white blazer. I loved accenting the look with white accessories as well – it totally captures the feeling of LA around this time of year… light, bright and just crisp enough to feel like fall and the holidays are approaching.
When going for a white blazer in fall, try it over darker, rich colors like burgundy, forrest green, or even navy to give it a more seasonally appropriate feel. Try a rollneck sweater underneath when the temperature drops too. I do love breaking some fashion rules every now and then, and not rocking white after Labor Day is one rule that you can totally do away with. In fact, winter white outfits are a fun way to bring some lightness to your cold-weather wardrobe all season long. Don’t be afraid to go for some white outwear this fall – I’ve even spotted some cool white boots and accessories starting to trickle in to stores. Trés chic!
