One thing I love about fashion is that it’s always evolving, and often reflects the seasons around us. The same concept applies to makeup! During the winter I stick to darker, smokier shadows and paler skin with a rosy blush – and as soon as spring hits I go for more bronzed, warm colors on my eyes, face and lips. This week I wanted to play with gold eyeshadows, and try something a little different with more rose-toned hues. I find that there’s something so flattering about these warm, romantic colors! Rose gold eyeshadow really brightens up your eyes and adds a subtly feminine look – such a perfect makeup style for spring.
I used this award-winning Tom Ford Quad Compact in Honeymoon, applying the darkest color into the creases of eyelid, then blending all over the lid with the more rosey color. Add the lightest gold colors to the very middle of the lid as a final touch, right above the iris of your eye. To complete the look I added natural looking strip eyelashes (I love wispies by Ardell) for thickness. Try this with simple face makeup and highlighter on the forehead and cheekbones.
