“Dear Louise, I’m not used to wearing heels but when I try to wear them to look more stylish, my feet hurt so much after only 3 steps I can’t even walk. How can I get used to them? Thanks a lot.” – Yara
Wearing high heels is definitely something you need to practice before you feel fully comfortable but, I know a few easy tricks that make it easier. Focus on finding a more stable heel – chunky, stacked, and platform styles are all great options for beginners. And while you may be tempted to start with sky-high pumps, look for something comfortable and walkable with a heel of about 2 inches, you’d be surprised how much height you still get. Keep practicing – it’s never too late to learn and heels are a transformative piece for every wardrobe.
