Figuring out your body shape and learning how to dress it is the key to finding your most flattering style. So you’re already halfway there, knowing that you’re an apple shape. Apples hold most of their weight around their middle. So the minute you put on weight, it goes to your tummy, back or boobs (not your bottom of hips, like a pair shape). Apples usually have great legs and slimmer arms, so that’s where we need to focus attention. Skinny jeans or leather leggings worn with cute heels will really show off your lower half, whilst you can flatter your middle by layering a printed scarf (a small pattern and a light weight, lofty fabric is best, check out Theodora & Callum), over a looser, dark colored top with 3/4 sleeves. Don’t make the mistake of wearing low slung hipster jeans, these can lead to muffin tops. Instead, structure your waist with a slightly higher rise jean.
