Clear, clean skin is hard to maintain when you travel a bunch, or rush around all day. Pollution and grime builds up on the face more than we realize, so it’s important to scrub everything clean and start afresh with hydrated, nourished skin every night.
Once or twice a week in the evening, I do an at-home peel to remove dead skin cells. SkinInc Pure Revival Peel is gentle but effective, so it doesn’t leave my skin red or irritated. If I’ve been wearing makeup for filming, I start by removing every last scrap of eye shadow and mascara, with Lancome Double Action Eye Makeup Remover. Then I layer treatments; I love Kate Somerville Oil Restorative Treatment, massaged into clean skin. Facial oil is a brilliant way to give dry skin a long drink, and don’t worry it won’t make your skin oily, contrary to popular belief. After that has sunk in, I use a rich moisturizer, especially if I’ve been on planes where the dry air really sucks the moisture from my skin. Caudelie Vinosource Crème Sorbet Hydratant seals everything in and hydrates beautifully.
The next morning, I’ll use Philosophy Miracle Worker Dark Spot Corrector for a balanced complexion, free of eye circles or blemishes.
I finish off with a spritz of one of my favorite fragrances, L’Eau de Chloe. Spraying a little perfume at the start of the day is a sweet little indulgence that I believe all women deserve!
