One of the hottest trends of the moment that you’ve probably seen floating all around Instagram is gingham. I love it, and it’s one print that will always stand the test of time as far trends go. There’s something so classic and preppy about it, while still being cool and casual.
When styled incorrectly, gingham can sometimes verge a bit too much on ‘Easter’, or even childlike. But, there are a few sure fire ways to jazz it up for more grown up and edgy vibe. Recently in Santa Barbara I wore this gingham dress by my lovely friend Millie Mackintosh. I wore it with a boater hat and sandals to brunch, but threw a leather moto jacket over my shoulders later in the evening when it got chilly and swapped out the sandals for white sneakers. Those two tweaks instantly took my look from girly English countryside to French girl chic!
