I’ve always had an obsession with stationery – don’t ask me why! Ever since high school, i’ve collected beautiful planners, notebooks and cards. I think it makes me feel organized, and I especially have a soft spot for hand-written notes on gorgeous paper cards. Writing thank you letters is a dying artform, but I love the tradition. I think it’s so much more special than just pinging somebody a text or email. Whether writing a simple thank you note, a congrats message or a romantic “thinking of you” letter, quality, chic materials make all the difference. Here are my favorite stationery essentials to have at your desk!
Personalized Details: A thank you note is a great way to remind your loved ones just how much you value them. Having personalized cards made with your address or initials on them, is a really elegant touch. Look for a monogrammed print, or just go for something in your favorite color.
Letterhead: A professional letterhead on good quality paper looks really sophisticated. While embossing is ideal, a simple color palette and clean design is a is really impactful. But it’s up to you – let the design express your personal flare, your brand, your family, your company – it does a lot more than a plain old email!
Fountain Pens: Ok so this is another personal obsession. No point buying all this gorgeous stationery and then writing in ballpoint pens. A hand-written note deserves a classic fountain pen. The look is totally different – it’s old school inky amazingness!
