My Favourite Places In The Cotswolds

Our little staycations this summer have been in the glorious Cotswolds and I love it. I feel so at home there, it’s a beautiful place full of chocolate box cottages and I’ve really enjoyed exploring. So to share some of the Gloucestershire love, I’ve put together a list of my favourite places in the Cotswolds.

Daylesford Farm

Daylesford has a few cafes and delis in London but the original farm is in Kingham in Gloucestershire. It’s also the site of the Bamford Wellness Spa which makes it a must visit for me!

The Lygon Arms

This is a really old school coaching inn that is technically in Worcestershire but it’s still worth a visit if you’re in the area. It dates back to the 1300s with a vaulted ceiling, original wood panelling and roaring log fires. Lots of history and delicious food, it’s one of our top choices for a date night.

Hidcote

We are huge National Trust fans (our membership has been the best thing we’ve bought since we moved back home) and Hidcote is one of my fave National Trust sites. There are beautiful gardens, a chapel, a shop and even a bookshop. Bliss.

This Cotswolds cottage was so dreamy, I didn’t want to share it- ha! We set off after school on Friday & arrived in the dark & rain. Opening the door to Well Cottage was utter heaven: we lit the fire, opened the red wine & ran the bath in our bedroom. Definition of cosy! Decorated to perfection by clever Laura Stephens (it’s charming but not twee, elegant but still practical), the next morning we went out exploring local villages, took a long walk ending with a pub lunch and then decided to roast a chicken for a cosy night in. Our daughters said they never wanted to leave.

Burford Garden Company

I love garden centres all year round but there’s something particularly wonderful about them at the beginning of autumn. Whenever we’re in the area, I always indulge my inner gardener with a visit to the Burford Garden Company. They have a huge home section as well as all the garden essentials so I can wander round the furniture and ceramic while Mackenzie and Honor choose the latest additions to the vegetable garden. It’s a really magical place for anyone who loves the outdoors.

It’s such a beautiful part of England which always has more to explore so there are endless reasons to go back again and again. Great for girls weekends, for romantic getaways and for family time so next time you’re planning a weekend away, consider one og my favourite places in the Cotswolds above. Is there anywhere I’ve missed?!

What I’m Wearing: Jumper by Iris & Ink at The Outnet (similar here), Skirt by Reformation, Bag by Agneel (similar here) and here), Trainers by Pantone.

xx,
