My collection of floral silk skirts grows and grows with each season. I wear them on rotation throughout the summer but when it comes to the autumn, I hate the thought of putting them away. Turns out I don’t have to. A trusty pair of boots and a chunky knit make styling silk skirts in the autumn a breeze. Wearing a bit of colour in the colder months is such a mood booster and it means I don’t have to have totally separate clothes for summer and winter.
Wearing florals in the autumn and winter is made all the easier with a fabulous pair of suede knee or thigh high boots. These are my current go-to pair; tan suede goes with everything and pairs so well with white as a chic combination in a chilly wind. A white knit cardigan or jumper is another of my Fall staples. I love mixing textures at this time of year, so adding this silk skirt over suede with a cosy wool cardigan ticks all the fashion boxes. For really cold days, I would style this with a structured overcoat in a darker colour- perfect for office days and for running errands.
Styling silk skirts in winter is such a good way to get more wear out of your summer wardrobe so invest in a good pair of boots and get your cosiest cardis out and style floral silk all through the winter.

xx,
Silk skirts are always forgiving . Love the prints and side flare .
I saw your blog first time and what i saw is absolute awesome. Your dressing and your dress collation Absolut gouges. I think there is beauty in everything. What ‘normal’ people perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it. Style is something each of us already has, all we need to do is find it. Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life.
My last word is ..
Anyone can get dressed up and glamorous, but it is how people dress in their days off that are the most intriguing.
