Ah, yes – it’s that time of year again. Spring is here and Summer is close at hand, which means it’s almost time for wedding season! I absolutely love weddings. We have one wedding on the beach in Malibu this Spring, and then we are flying back to England for a couple of weddings in the English countryside this Summer. I can’t wait! Seeing old friends, going away for the weekend and acting like we are back at college… Weddings are full of romance and dancing and if you’re single – who knows – maybe you’ll meet your own significant other there – or maybe you just love an excuse to get dolled up and look drop dead gorgeous. Sometimes, with so many options out there, picking the right dress or outfit can be a little tedious and overwhelming, not to mention the price tags on some of these guys, eek! If you’re going to several weddings over the next few months like I am, it can really add up quickly if you don’t plan to repeat dresses (although if it’s a different friendship group then by all means re-style the same look with different shoes and a different bag).
I’ve conjured up some outfit combinations that all amount to $100 or less. Is that even possible you ask? Truth be told, YES! As long as you accessorize appropriately and do your hair and makeup just right, your outfit will look just as chic and expensive as the next chic girl who waltzes in. Scroll down to see my picks!
The Sleek Silk Dress
A midi slip dress is almost always the answer to every girl’s needs. Its simplicity and sheer elegance is embraced in this lace, pastel number, paired with a pair of strappy sandals and this envelope clutch. Top it off with some statement jewelry – like embroidered or chunky gold hoop earrings.
The Elegant Wrap Dress
The wrap dress has long been a staple for every girl’s wardrobe, and for wedding season it’s no different. This season’s update has a ton of ruffles all over it, which is super flattering on any figure. They’re elegant and perfect for warmer weather, so pair one with cute block heels (comfort is key!) and a woven.
The Refined Jumpsuit
I’ve always been a huge fan of wearing a jumpsuit to a wedding. They’re unique and sexy, and you’re often the only girl wearing one. Navy is always a safe bet for any casual or dressy wedding, and this piece is just perfect with the sexy detailing at the back. You’ll be able to dance all night in this look!
xx,
Louise you look simply divine. You are just one very elegant lady. I don’t have any weddings to attend but I just admire your taste and style. Chapeau!
