Dresses are an absolute staple in my wardrobe, especially in summer, they’re a one-item look that literally takes seconds to style, and they’re the best to stay cool during hot summer days – and for sightseeing too!
We’re currently in sunny Portugal on a family holiday and I am living in my dresses. For the daytime, I usually opt for a light floaty maxi dress, chic and comfy. But mini dresses can be perfect too for when it gets really hot. Natural fabrics such as linen and cotton (the perfect cotton kaftan) are spot on for beating the heat. I pair my dresses with flats, slide-ons and sneakers these days.
I love solid colours and experimenting with prints but I definitely have a soft spot for ditsy floral prints. This is one of the dresses I wear the most in summer.
In the evening, you can never go wrong with a LBD and this is one of my favourite evening dresses – I love to wear it with strappy sandals, an easy slicked-back ponytail, chunky gold earrings and I’m off to dinner.
