Marbled Spring Table

Is it too early to be planning my marbled spring table?! I think not and with some sunny days in my kitchen I have been creating some new styles and tablescapes. After the berry reds and forest greens of Christmas I’m enjoying bright colours, pretty glassware and florals…both on the table and in my tablelinen. It’s a great time of year to really mix up sets. Layering china and using different sizes of glass creates a hodge-podge of colour and I don’t like a table that looks too formal. Wine in tumblers, flowers in crystal glasses…the more mismatched the merrier.

I’m also very into marbled candles at the moment. You may have seen that in our bedroom, I’ve got some on the fireplace mantelpiece. Those green candlesticks are by Birdie Fortescue with Pistachio Pie candles from Violet Rose Living which I love but now that I’m planning a spring table, I’ve gone for bubble glass candlesticks in shades of pink, amber and red. There are lots of them on Etsy and I’ve collected a few different sizes. Alongside these I’ve mixed in a couple of ‘Column of Strength’ candle holders from By Alice so there are several different heights going on! The candles themselves are By Alice’s hand marbled Italian tapered candles. She also does some fab obelisk candles which I’ve got in the snug…you could say I’m a big fan. Underneath it all is a patterned tablecloth from Polkra. I love the colours and the unique design; I used it in my autumn tablescape too. My marbled place cards are from Papier and you can shop them here.

It may still be dark and cold but planning a marbled spring table has got me thinking that spring is on the horizon, and you all know how much I love the spring.
