This English winter is a cold one! Getting our daily walks in are an essential part of our winter wellness and I always have to hand the winter accessories I can’t be without. Hats, scarves, warm boots, gloves, big coats…the updates I’ve had to make to my winter wardrobe are vast so I’ve linked below to the best and warmest things I’ve found.
In the snow, a good pair of boots is essential- I put together a collection of my recent favourites here but they are linked below as well. I love lace up ankle boots with a good grippy sole (very necessary!) and then I put a thick pair of wooly socks on top which I tuck my jeans into. If it’s wet as well as cold, I swap the grippy boots for a trust pair of wellies.
I’ve always loved a beanie hat but had very little reason to wear them in LA. Black is a staple as it goes with everything but Father Christmas gave me a lovely cream cable knit hat with a pom pom on top that Honor keeps trying to steal; she has a matching one with a red pom pom and she’s more visible in the snow when she wears it! With scarves I like neutrals (camel, grey, cream) but there’s also something so delicious about dark cashmere in navy, charcoal or burgundy. It depends what I’m wearing or where I’m going; for a wintery day in the city, I might swap a bobble hat for a chic fedora. I do love a bit of coordination so complementing certain colours with other accessories like handbags or coats is always a good option.
Shop the winter accessories I can’t be without below and get kitted up for your next wintery walk.
