My Bathroom Cupboard Essentials

Created in partnership with Walmart Beauty

I get asked a lot about my skincare and makeup routine. Pre 2020 when parties were regular, I was all about a smokey eye and a red lip but now I’m enjoying a pared back look and I’ve stripped my bathroom cupboard essentials back to prove it! All my essentials can be found at Walmart Beauty who carry my favourite brands- brands I’ve loved for years as well as some newer finds that I’ve discovered more recently.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Cleansing Water

Every makeup artist I’ve spoken to says this is the staple in all their make up bags. I’ve been using this for ages and I’m a total convert. I use it twice a day with a cotton pad and it’s good for sensitive skin too, so there’s no irritation around my eyes. Get a big one and you’ll find it lasts ages.

Mario Badescu Witch Hazel and Rose Water Toner

Following cleansing, I sweep some of this toner over my face. Mario Badescu is one of my go-to skincare brands and the witch hazel and rosewater in this is so refreshing. Rose water smells lovely too.

Pixi H20 Skintint

The lightest foundation I’ve found. It’s a water based tinted gel which dries to a semi matte finish…so it evens out your skin tone and hydrates; a great base for under makeup. Green tea, rose water, chamomile and lavender. Delicious.

NARS Radient Creamy Concealer

Early starts make for tired eyes and NARS concealer is the best for under eye coverage. Hydrating and light-diffusing, it’s something all Mums should have in their collection as a cheat’s way to brighter eyes. I also love the names of their shades; Truffle, Biscuit, Cacao, Chantilly…

Pixi Beauty Mattelast Liquid Lip

If I’m suddenly jumping on a call with a brand then a slick of this liquid lip smartens up a very basic outfit. I love the colour- Evening Rose which is the perfect mix between dark red and a softer pink.

E.L.F Eyeliner Pen

A classic black eyeliner pen for a cat eye (or a fox eye!) flick. I go through these quite quickly as I love perfecting the perfect line. These E.L.F ones have a sort of felt tip style lid…SO much easier than something really liquid. The brown is lovely too for pale complexions or light eyes.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

This is the very first piece of makeup I ever bought. It was certainly the first mascara and I’v used it ever since. A colourful little makeup bag staple which comes in Blackest Black, Very Black, Brownish Black, Dark Brown and Royal Blue.

Pantene Pro-V Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist

In between washes I use this stuff and it saves my hair! Very lightweight and a great way of getting rid of frizz and flyaways too, it’s full of vitamins and yummy oils so that hair feels really healthy. Love this stuff- it stands front and centre amongst my bathroom cupboard essentials.

Redken Triple Dry Finishing Spray

I’ve actually taken to keeping this in my handbag I love it so much- the travel size is here but there’s also a bigger one for your bathroom cupboard or dressing table. It’s a really fine mist that’s great for building volume and styling, with none of that powder  that so many finishing sprays leave. Redken haircare is one of the best and I wouldn’t switch this spray out for anything.

Tresemme Hairspray

If I have styled my hair then this is the finishing touch. I’m quite into loose waves at the moment and a touch of this condensed hairspray (the same amount just into a smaller can) keeps the styling in place all day.

Thats interesting. I am on the hunt for new skin care as I am allergic to my old ones. Hope to see you on my Fancy Friday linkup party.

This is a great review. You can also substitute your bathroom cupboard with a skincare fridge. I think these products will be stored better there.
