How To Get Ready Faster This Mother’s Day

With Mother’s Day coming up next weekend, I’m sure many of you out there are already prepping for your celebrations like I am. Whether you’re hosting a brunch at home or going out to a nice restaurant with your family, there’s a lot to consider – from your decorations, to your gifts, and your look!

To me, Mother’s Day outfits are always the epitome of Spring style, and are similar to what you might wear to an Easter celebration – colorful, playful, and classy. This year, I’m going with this cute structured linen dress in warm peach, paired with simple white sneakers to keep things comfy and casual. I just received this dress in the mail, so it had some deep creases from being inside the packaging. While I would normally opt for my trusty old iron (which I’ve had for almost 10 years at this point, is that crazy?), I wanted to try out my new Conair handheld steamer to save some time.

So many of my friends who work in the fashion industry swear by steamers over irons, and now I can see why. This handheld one doesn’t require you to lug out your ironing board or put it back, and released a stream of powerful steam that gets your clothes looking crisp and neat in a matter of seconds. It seriously saved me a good 10 minutes or more in comparison to ironing, and I feel like it’s so much easier on your clothes and on delicate fabrics. If you’re in a pinch getting ready in the morning, I highly recommend trying this one. Have you guys ever used one of these before? Shop my look below!
