Patent boots are one of those things that can immediately take your outfit from 0 to 100. In my eyes, they’re a super easy and achievable way to make your look appear high-end. But they’ve got to look well-made because they will either look super expensive (even if they’re not!) or a little bit tacky… And it’s a thin line to tread. But once you’ve found a great pair, you’re set, because these guys will go with almost everything in your Fall/Winter closet, or even with shorts and tees in Spring. From with overalls or relaxed jeans to dresses and skirts, there really is no wrong way to style patent boots. But fair warning: once you fall in love with a pair of these there’s no going back – you’re going to want them in every style, heel-height, color variation possible. And, yes, I’m speaking from experience.
I’ve made finding your perfect pair just that bit easier for you by picking out my favorites, the best of the best, in a range of styles – and even colors, for if you’re feeling bold and a bit badass! I think you’ll be hard-pressed to spot the splurges from the steals on first glance. Let me know what’s your favorite trick for making your style appear more expensive in the comments below!
