My Must-Have Pieces For Summer 2017

I feel very lucky to have just returned from a few weeks of traveling – from Hawaii for a second honeymoon, to the south of France for Cannes Film Festival, and even New York for a quick photoshoot. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, and I’m so grateful that I get to do it for work! When we were in Cannes, I wore this look out to date night with my husband, and it checked off my list of must-have items for this summer: anything with a Spanish/flamenco vibe, tassel earrings, and bright pops of red.

I mentioned in one of my recent blog posts how much I’m loving the Spanish trend at the moment. Lots of ruffles, texture, ornate details, bold colors and prints… My top must-have piece this season is an embroidered, flamenco-inspired dress like this one from kate spade new york. I loved taking it on my trip to France, because it packed up easily in my suitcase and was great for wearing to date night, but also with flat sandals over a bikini to one of the beach clubs that we went to.

Another must-have piece that I’m absolutely obsessed with (and which you’ve probably seen me wearing all the time) are tassel earrings. They also go along with a very Spanish vibe, and to me are very chic and flattering with slicked back hair. They take any outfit to the next level, and I always get tons of compliments on them. Plus the cool thing about them, is that they can be worn from season to season. These berry colored tassel earrings will be just as fun in fall as they are now!

Finally, every girl needs a bright pop of red in their wardrobe this summer. There’s something very French about a pop of red with a simple black and white outfit (which I love), but I also thought this bold red handbag looked fun with my look. It really made the embroidery on my dress pop, and played off the tassel earrings as well. Shop my full look below!
